A book collector learned an acquaintance had found an old Bible and thrown it in the trash. "Somebody named Gutenberg-something had printed it," the man said.
"Not Gutenberg," gasped the bibliophile. "You idiot! You've thrown away a copy of the first book ever printed with moveable type. It was worth a million dollars."
The man was unmoved, declaring, "My copy couldn't have brought a dime. Some guy Named Martin Luther had scribbled all over it."
